Warming centers in Santa Barbara county open through the weekend

Santa Barbara county is opening warming centers through the weekend, Friday, Dec. 23, thru Sunday, Dec. 25.

The following shelters will be open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

SANTA BARBARA NORTH COUNTY

Santa Maria – Centro Cristiano Vida Abundante: 121 W. Alvin Street Lompoc – Peace Lutheran Church: 1000 W. Ocean Boulevard.

SANTA BARBARA SOUTH COUNTY

Santa Barbara – Unitarians Society of Santa Barbara: 1535 Santa Barbara Street Carpinteria – Veteran’s Memorial Building: 941 Walnut Avenue

The following shelters in south Santa Barbara County will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.:

Isla Vista – University Methodist Church: 892 Camino del Sur

The following shelters will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.:

Santa Barbara – 1st Congregational Church: 2101 State Street
