Two arrested after short police chase in Santa Barbara

Two suspects were arrested after a short pursuit on the West Side of Santa Barbara early Thursday morning.

At around 8:45 a.m. officers responded to a call about two illegal campers on private property.

When officers arrived, the two illegal campers fled the area. The two were known to police to have multiple warrants.

Both suspects, a man and a woman, were apprehended near West Canon Perdido Street and De La Vina Street.

The identities of the suspects have not yet been released.
