Criminal complaint filed against two real estate agents in Santa Barbara County

A real estate investigation spanning Santa Maria to Los Angeles lands two realtors behind bars.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley released information on the case Thursday.

Angelo Gabriel Naemi and Steven Gonzales are accused of conspiring to falsify documents linked to a number of short-sale transactions in the Santa Maria area.

Dudley says losses to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac run in the half-million dollar range.

Naemi faces five counts of grand theft — his bail is set at $395,000. Gonzales faces one count of conspiracy to commit grand theft.
