Suspect accused in hit and run makes first court appearance

Arraignment was postponed for the man arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a Santa Barbara City College student.

21-year-old Isaac Vincent Vega of Montecito made his first court appearance on Friday.

Prosecutors said Vega was out on bail for a prior arrest for robbery when he allegedly struck 23-year-old Drew Christopher Daly with his Honda CRV on Dec. 2.

Daly remains hospitalized.

Vega’s bail for his previous case was revoked and re-set at $100,000.

His bail for the alleged hit-and-run stands at $500,000.

Vega remains in custody and is due back in court for arraignment on Dec. 14.
