Move over spelling bees, geography bees are going on coast to coast

Students who read National Geographic have an edge in all kinds of things including spelling and geography bees.

The National Geographic Society is hosting a nationwide geography bee this month.

Thousands of public schools are participating.

Anacapa Middle School in Ventura held a geography on Wednesday.

Students took part in seven rounds with questions about oceans, continents, marine life and more.

In honor of Pearl Harbor day one of the first questions was about Peal Harbor and the Pacific Ocean.
