Warriors edge Rams in boys basketball to claim Carpinteria bragging rights

Trailing 34-27, Carpinteria closed out the third quarter on a 17-4 run and never looked back as they defeated neighbor Cate 57-50.

Carp was led by Eli Correa’s 19 points while Cate’s Marko Pliso poured in a game-high 25 points.

Pliso made back-to-back three pointers to pull the Rams within three points with under 30 seconds left.

But the Warriors made four free throws to seal the win.
