Maintenance work interrupts KEYT over-the-air signal

Over-the-viewers and Time Warner Cable customers of KEYT may have noticed some outages over the past few days. This will continue for another week as crews are painting the tower at Broadcast Peak, and installing new tower lights.

Workers cannot do their job on the tower when the antenna is transmitting, so the signal has been taken down at times during the day to allow the work to be completed.

A few more outages are expected as new high-efficiency LED lights are added to the tower. The lights are required for safety to make the tower visible at night.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of December 5, but could be extended if unexpected issues arise.

Viewers of KEYT on all other cable and satellite providers are not affected.
