Boy Scout Christmas tree lot off Holly Drive in Carpinteria opened on Saturday

A semi delivered hundreds of trees to Boy Scouts manning a lot in Carpinteria.

The lot run by Troop 147, Troop 50 and Pack 50 opened on Saturday near Holly Drive and Carpinteria Ave.

Troop leaders said the money raised will help cover dues, camps and scholarship programs.

If customers want trees delivered the boys are prepared to do that too.

The lot is open from 9a.m. to 9p.m. on weekends and right after school until 8:30 p.m. on weekdays.
