Ventura police searching for suspect in felony hit and run

The Ventura Police Department is searching for a suspect who struck a motorcyclist and then fled the scene Wednesday evening in Ventura.

At around 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of an injury accident involving a vehicle that struck a motorcyclist on the 2700 block of E. Thompson Blvd.

While en route to the crash, responders received word from witnesses that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene of the accident on foot.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located the motorcycle rider who had suffered a moderate injury to his leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers investigating the accident obtained evidence from the abandoned suspect vehicle that may help identify and locate him.

If your information leads to an arrest, you could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
