Toa Taua has added some fancy footwork to his power game for Lompoc

Toa Taua loves football and he loves contact.

But this year the Lompoc Braves junior running back added a new wrinkle to his game, some finesse.

Several times this year, Taua has faked out defenders with spins and quick feet. The fancy footwork has left defenders guessing whether Taua would try to run through a tackle or around them.

Add it up and Taua has had a sensational season for a Lompoc team that is 12-0 and in the CIF Division 4 semifinals.

Taua has rushed for 1,739 yards with 28 touchdowns. He is averaging over ten yards per carry.

Lompoc plays 11-1 Corona Del Mar this Friday at 7pm at Estancia High School.
