KEYT 3, KCOY 12 and KKFX Fox 11 are experiencing transmission issues, which out engineers are working to resolve quickly.

Viewers in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties are affected. Cox Cable and Time Warner Cable customers lost the stations, while Dish, DirecTV, Comcast and Charter will not see an impact until our 5 p.m. newscasts. At that time, these customers may likely go dark.

A main fiber connection between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara failed just after 4 p.m.. The cause of the problem is unknown.

Due to these technical issues, it’s possible local news will not be on air at the usual times. Technicians are working to restore all services as quickly as possible.

We will be broadcasting a live newscast of KEYT NewsChannel 3 at 5 p.m. on our Facebook page, and you may also watch that live broadcast by clicking on the link located on our website’s homepage at the top of the hour.
