Runners complain about Santa Barbara Veterans Day Half Marathon
Runners are taking to social media to vent their concerns about the Santa Barbara Veterans Day Half Marathon.
After the race, posts started showing up on the official Facebook page for the race.
People wrote about lack of water stations, and being lead in the wrong direction on the course.
Runners were also disappointed because medals were not handed out.
The last mile of the race is usually lined with American flags in honor of Veterans Day. This year there were no flags on the course.
“This race was the most disorganized I have ever seen. There was no race expo, and all the merchandise was from previous years,” said Cher Farinpour of Santa Barbara. “They had us going the wrong way and led us an extra half mile that we didn’t need to go.”
Calls to the race director were not answered and the voicemail box was full.
