Foodbank holds empty bowls fundraiser in Santa Barbara

The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County held one of its biggest fundraisers at the Youth Page Center in Goleta on Sunday.

More than 800 people who attended got to select ceramic bowls made by local artists. Attendees had the option to fill their ceramic bowls with soup and bread from local restaurants.

The money raised will help feed healthy and nutritious meals to those in need.

“We serve about 140 thousand people out of 400 thousand in the county. Whether its children or seniors and this is the time of year when people focus on our mission in the county and really try to help us” said Foodbank Santa Barbara County CEO Erik Talkin.
