Santa Barbara Humane Society offering discounts for senior pet adoptions

The Santa Barbara Humane Society is offering discounted adoption fees for pets over seven years old during the month of November.

November is Adopt-A-Senior-Pet month and the Santa Barbara Humane Society suggests that potential adopters consider rescuing an older cat or dog.

The discounted adoption fee is $25 and the fee covers a yearlong membership to the Santa Barbara Humane Society. Those benefits include low-cost dog and cat boarding, low-fee vaccinations and reduced enrollment fees for special classes. The adoption fee also includes spay/neuter surgery, a health exam, vaccinations, microchip with registration, temperament evaluation, background/personality profile, a starter packet of food and a dog care booklet.

Those fees help the humane society keep its doors open to the community and animals in need.
