Ventura County measure’s prelimiary results

Preliminary results are in for Ventura County’s measures.

As of 11pm:

Measure AA: The transportation sales tax measure to improve local roads and transportation infrastructure by increasing the sales tax by a half-cent has about 57-percent of the vote but under the California Constitution it needs the support of at least two-thirds of voters to pass. So as of 11 p.m. election night it’s not passing.

Measure C & Measure F: Ventura County’s SOAR measure is passing with 60% of the vote. Measure C is also beating its competing measure, Measure F- Sustain VC which currently only has 45-percent of the vote.

Either Measure C or F needs a simple majority of just over 50-percent to pass. The one with the most votes will cancel out the other, so right now it shows that Measure C will pass and SOAR–save open space and agricultural resources will continue to 2050.
