Bicyclist shot in Oxnard

Oxnard Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning that sent one man to the hospital.

At around 12:50 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a shooting victim in the area of Teakwood Street and South B Street.

Upon arrival, officers located the shooting victim, a 39-year-old Oxnard man.

The man was transferred to a local hospital with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Officers determined that the man was riding a bicycle when he was struck by gunfire. Officers were unable to obtain any information regarding any possible suspects.

The shooting is currently under investigation.
