Stolen bronze elephant statues valued at $8,000
The Ojai Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two large, bronze elephant statues. They were stolen from a property in the 8700 block of North Ventura Avenue in Casitas Springs.
Investigators believe the thefts happened between 10/8/2016 and 10/9/2016.
Each statue is very heavy and valued at $4,000 each. They are approximately 6 feet tall, 4 feet long, 2 feet wide and are also a fountain.
The statue shown in the photograph is not one of the stolen statues, but is identical in design.
The Ojai Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the statues or providing information about the crime. A reward is also being offered through Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
