Tow trucks out in full force for Isla Vista Halloween

Law enforcement and tow trucks will be out in full force in Isla Vista this Halloween weekend.

City and county agencies and UC Santa Barbara are doing what they can to keep the holiday celebration local. There are roadblocks in 6 different intersections. Students were also notified earlier this month about parking enforcement in the area.

Tow trucks drove to Isla Vista on Friday afternoon to pull cars that are parked in restricted zones. 24 cars were towed.

“The office of student life is working close with the police department here in IV and so I’ve gotten several emails in the last couple of weeks saying hey Halloween is coming, here are some of the rules and regulations that are coming,” said TJ Berry, a UCSB student.

Parking enforcement will continue throughout the weekend and into Tuesday.
