Three suspects sought in Ventura Vons robbery

Police in Ventura are searching for three suspects who threatened a security guard with a knife and hammer.

It happened on Wednesday night at the Vons at 2764 E. Thompson Boulevard. Police say a customer witnessed a white male in his 20’s, a white female in her 20’s with red hair, and a Hispanic female in her 20’s stealing alcohol and leaving the store. The customer then alerted a Vons’ security guard.

Once outside the guard approached the three suspects near a red, Honda CRV parked in the store’s parking lot. The guard said as he began to make contact with the suspects to ask if they stole something, the male suspect pulled out a knife while a female suspect displayed a hammer. The guard backed away and the three took off.
