Los Osos man accused of distributing child porn
Los Osos resident Eric Edward Norman, 44, was arrested Thursday morning after authorities discovered a slew of child pornography on two computers during a search warrant.
Investigators say detectives with the SLO County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement team had received information that child pornography was being downloaded and distributed from a computer at a home in the 1200 block of 2nd Street in Los Osos.
A search warrant was served at that home at 9:30 a.m. Detectives seized two computers and two hard drives. Authorities say the devices contained thousands of photos and videos of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts.
“The images appear to have been downloaded from the internet and then distributed,” said the Sheriff’s Office in a statement released to the press Thursday afternoon. “The computers and hard drives are in the process of being forensically analyzed for child porn.”
Norman is facing one felony count of possession of child pornography, and one felony count of distribution of child pornography. This is an ongoing investigation.
