Identity theft suspects arrested in Santa Maria

Two men from Miami, Florida alleged to have committed identity theft and stolen over $24,000, have been arrested in Santa Maria.

Authorities say 23-year-old Eric Vincent Holmes and 27-year-old Noquan Clacken had been traveling throughout the U.S. using illegally obtained account information from several online banks to manufacture debit cards.

Those same debit cards were used at various ATM’s in Santa Maria to steal thousands of dollars, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.

Holmes and Clacken were arrested by FBI agents and Santa Maria police. Both suspects were found with over $24,000 and a credit card skimming device at the time of their arrest, according to investigators.

Police believe there are more victims in this case. They’re asking anyone with any information to contact the Santa Maria Police Department.
