Police called out to Pro-Life rally in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara police were called out to a pro-life rally in front of Planned Parenthood in Santa Barbara.

On Tuesday, a tour bus packed with people campaigning to end abortion parked in front of the clinic on Garden Street.

It’s part of an event called the 40 Days for Life Coast to Coast Bus Tour Rally.

The group is traveling to all 50 states in 40 days.

“Forty days for life is for 40 days, we pray in front of Planned Parenthood for the moms, the dads to dissuade them from having abortions and to end abortions ,” said Laureen, a Santa Barbara resident.

The tour bus made stops in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara and Ventura.

Pro-life advocates held small rallies and prayer vigils at those locations.

Planned Parenthood officials called police complaining about the noise.

Police showed up but did not issue any citations.

The tour bus event continues through Nov. 6.
