Oxnard man hurt in shooting

A 20-year-old Oxnard man was taken to a local hospital after he was discovered by police with a gunshot wound.

At about 9:10 p.m. Thursday night, Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a shooting victim in the 5500 Block of Cypress Road.

When officers arrived they discovered the 20-year-old victim in the area of Cypress Mobile Park.

The man was transported to a local hospital and underwent surgery.

Officers were unable to find any information about the circumstances of the shooting and there were no witnesses at the scene.
