Oxnard police arrest man suspected of assaulting, robbing two elderly people

Oxnard Police Department arrested a man who they believe robbed and assaulted a pair of elderly people on Monday.

At around 2:40 p.m. officers were dispatched to a strong-arm robbery of a person inside the Ventura County Credit Union on North Rose Avenue.

According to Oxnard police, a suspect punched a 62-year-old man in the face and stole his wallet.

The suspect, 29-year-old Ivan Quintana, was located in the area by responding officers and positively identified by witnesses.

During the investigation, it was also determined that Quintana was suspected of punching an elderly woman in the face and stealing her purse in another robbery earlier that morning.

Quintana was arrested for both robberies. Quintana is already on active parole for Escaping Custody.
