Steampunk Fest Celebrates History At Heritage Square in Oxnard

The Steampunk Fest in Oxnard brought science fiction and fantasy enthusiasts together Saturday.

“Doc Phineas” opened the event in Oxnard’s Heritage Square.

Steampunk fans wore outfits inspired by 19th century industrial steam powered machinery.

Visitors enjoyed a merchant bazaar, costume contest, workshops, art exhibits and more.

The festival continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
