Police investigating suspicious package outside Pacific Pride Foundation

Santa Barbara police and the bomb squad were called out to the scene of a suspicious package outside the offices of the Pacific Pride Foundation in the 100 block of E. Haley Street.

The suspicious package was discovered just before 4 p.m. Monday, but as of 6 p.m., Sgt. Riley Harwood with the Santa Barbara Police Department confirmed the suspicious object was merely a package of books.

The immediate area was closed to traffic but is expected to reopen soon.
