Veterans host Moving Wall in Santa Barbara

The Moving Wall is visiting Santa Barbara through midday Monday.

Visitors are welcome to see it in Chase Palm Park at 236 Cabrillo Blvd.

Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 218 is hosting the visit. It is the sixth visit to the area.

Sometimes seeing the names can be personal and painful, but veterans plan to take the time anyway.

There are 58,000 names on the memorial wall, about 100 are the names of people from Santa Barbara County.

A candlelight ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday to remember those who died serving their country.
