Ventura man arrested for selling methamphetamine
The Ventura Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of five people as part of a narcotics bust in Ventura Tuesday.
An investigation into sales of methamphetamine led investigators to make a number of purchases from Mark Jessop-Ellis, 43, of Ventura.
On Tuesday detectives arrested Jessop-Ellis and served a search warrant at his residence on the 1400 block of Poli Street.
Investigators discovered methamphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms), marijuana, packaging and scales in the residence.
Based on the amount of narcotic ingestion devices and related discarded packaging items located around the residence, authorities determined the residence was maintained for the purpose of drug use and sales.
Jessop-Ellis was booked into the Ventura County Jail. He faces possible charges of being in possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Four other Ventura residents were initially arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. They are:
John-Jessop Ellis, 57 Paul Wallet, 47 Michael Smith, 52, Tasha Becchio, 43
Wallet was not booked in the Ventura County Jail.
