Pianos on State provides spontaneous music

The annual “Pianos on State” are out and ready for spontaneous music in Santa Barbara

Until October 24, the pianos will be outside in various locations from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

There are 10 on State Street, one at the Lobero Theater, another in the Funk Zone and even one at the airport near the baggage claim.

The pianos were all painted by local artists.

They are part of the upcoming “New Noise” festival and conference taking place later this month.

Amateurs and professionals will no doubt gravitate to the keys and plays some songs at a moments notice.
