An attic fire at a Goleta home on North San Marcos Drive was quickly put out by Santa Barbara County Fire crews Friday morning.
Authorities say they originally had a hard time finding the home due to thick fog in the area. Once the residence was found, smoke could be seen coming from the roof, according to fire officials.
Crews cut open the roof to fight the flames in the attic space. No injuries were reported and no other homes in the area were impacted. The cause of the fire in under investigation.
