Car-sized boulder moved off San Marcos Road
Crews have cleared old San Marcos Road after a vehicle-sized boulder fell to the pavement Thursday morning. The incident affected traffic on the sparsely-traveled road for a few hours.
The California Highway Patrol, describing the boulder as roughly the size of a patrol car, closed the roadway in order to clear the large rock.
The rock and other debris was moved to the side of the road by midday, allowing traffic to flow freely again.
