Bike stolen in back door burglary
Caffe Primo’s chef was preparing to close with his coworkers when he realized his Vilano road bike was gone.
Igor Karbak said he knows bikes get stolen outside, but his bike was inside the back of the restaurant on Saturday night when it went missing.
Surveillance video shows a man entering an unlocked back door and grabbing the bike.
Karbak said he looked too drunk to ride a bike.
Bar manager Dawson Ingersoll said its not the value of the bike that is upsetting, its that people were up front working when the theft happened.
The back door is usually left open to take out the trash, but that is likely to change.
“We need to put a reminder on it, keep the door locked to prevent this from happening a third time,” said Ingersoll.
The second illegal break in happened in late February.
That’s when Bogan Dejanovic noticed his backpack missing. Wine bottles were broken and missing too.
Surveillance video shows a man trying to take potatoes and wine after ransacking an office.
Employees don’t think the crimes are related.
They said they are relieved no one has gotten hurt.
