Hollywood woman jailed for fighting Ventura police officer
A woman is behind bars after allegedly fighting security at a restaurant in Ventura Sunday night.
Ventura police responded to a call after 8 p.m. at Bombay Bar and Grill on the 100 block of South California Street.
A heavy metal band was playing at the restaurant. When police arrived they allegedly saw 25-year-old Hollywood resident, Marissa Rodriguez physically fighting with a security guard.
When police tried to separate them Rodriguez allegedly began swinging at the officers.
Police say she kicked an officer in the leg.
She was booked into Ventura County Jail for battery on a police officer. No one was injured in this incident.
