Cuesta Grade brush fire limited to 3 acres

Fire crews responded to a brush fire that broke out on Cuesta Grade south of Santa Margarita Friday evening.

Dispatch was alerted to the fire at around 8 p.m. and the fire burned up to three acres before crews stopped its forward progress less than an hour later.

Cal Fire said some crews would remain on scene until the blaze was fully extinguished.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
