Local law enforcement weighs in on Palm Springs officer deaths

Hours after the deaths of two Palm Springs police officers shocked the nation, first responders from all across central California offered their thoughts and condolences to their fallen comrades.

Ventura Police Department posted this message on their Facebook page: “Our thoughts are with the Palm Springs Police Department and the families of the two officers killed and one injured in the line of duty today.”

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department also offered extended condolences for those who serve and protect: “On behalf of the entire Santa Barbara County Fire Department, our deepest condolences to the men and women of the Palm Springs Police Department and their families.”

California Highway Patrol, which serves the entire state of California, had this to say: “We don’t have the complete details yet, but please keep Palm Springs Police Department, CA, and the families and friends of these three officers in your thoughts and prayers.”

First responders from across central California and across the nation have continued to flood social media with words of encouragement and well wishes to the Palm Springs Police Department and the families of the two fallen officers.
