Highway 246 passing lanes project continues near Lompoc

Caltrans will continue road work on a state Route 246 safety project aimed at constructing passing lanes in both direction near Lompoc, from Cebada Canyon Road to Hapgood Road.

Motorists should expect up to 15-minute delays during construction. Drivers may encounter one-way reversing traffic control with flaggers from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The $14.9 million road project, which is funded by the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments – Measure A program, is expected to be completed in late 2017.
