Dons win Channel League opener against rival San Marcos

Sawyer Rhodes scored four goals to lead Santa Barbara High School to a 14-9 victory over rival San Marcos in the Channel League opener for both in boys water polo.

The Dons outscored the Royals 3-0 in the second quarter to establish control of the game before a packed pool of fans.

As soon as the Dons finished off their victory, several students jumped into the pool to celebrate and cool off on a steamy night in Santa Barbara.

Spencer Wood scored four goals for San Marcos.
