Inmate walks away from the Satellite Prison Camp in Lompoc

A federal inmate has walked away from the minimum security Satellite Prison Camp in Lompoc.

Authorities said at around 4:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, they discovered him missing from the camp. The inmate has been identified as Vicente Ramirez Jr., 27, of Patterson, California. Ramirez is 6’1, around 270 pounds, with brown eyes and hair. An official with the Lompoc Correctional Complex denied our requests for a photo of the inmate escapee to show the public.

Ramirez was serving a 180-month sentence for drug and weapons convictions. And, was scheduled to be released on May 23, 2024.

The FBI and U.S. Marshals Service and local law enforcement have been notified. P.I.O. Matthew Brown is also asking for the public to contact authorities immediately if they see Ramirez.
