Debate Viewing Parties Keep Score
Debate watching parties gave Monday Night Football some competition.
A party at the University Club, also known as the U Club, in Santa Barbara offered air conditioning on a hot night and a tongue-in-cheek political menu.
The club with TV screens turned on in multiple viewing rooms served Trumpinis and The Absolut Secretary (of State).
Debate watchers played bingo and drinking games. When candidates said words they are known for saying it was time to take another sip.
The Santa Barbara Tea Party rented out the deck at Endless Summer to host a party of their own.
Members were surprised by the standing room only crowd on the deck.
The debate wasn’t the only thing to watch at the bar. Endless Summer had TVs tunes to football, surfing and politiics.
Democrats seemed to think Hillary Clinton won, Republicans seemed to think Donald Trump won.
Glen Stein, enjoyed watching the debate at the University Club. He is from South Africa and said his friends back home got up in the middle of the night to watch.
Stein said the world is watching to see which candidate Americans choose.
