The debate before the debate has many local residents talking
Many people are more than willing to speak out about the current Presidential race, the debate, polls, and issues. Just prior to the first debate, some voters said they had made up their mind and nothing would change it. Rob Williams, wasn’t happy with the primary campaign, but he will vote Republican saying he can not support Hillary Clinton. “I don’t know if I can vote for someone who has been in Washington her who life and has the record she has,” he said. A Carpinteria Clinton supporter, Jim Taylor said “I can’t believe that so many people in this country are supporting a misogynist , racist, homophobic, xenophobic idiot like Donald Trump I’m sorry.” One resident calls the polls and the analysis flawed. Dave Calllanan said, “when they say American’s ‘think’ they need to revise that to ‘American’s who still have a land line and still answer unsolicited phone calls – think’. ” Ballots will be in the mail the Week of October 10. Many voters say they are ready now to make their decisions now. Election Day is November 8.
