Suspect arrested after carjacking, stabbing in Pismo Beach

A man is in critical condition and a suspect is in custody following a vehicle theft and stabbing in Pismo Beach on Saturday evening.

According to a press release from Pismo Beach Police Department, at around 7:20 p.m. officers were dispatched to a possible stabbing and carjacking in the 500 block of Five Cities Drive.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 36-year-old man lying on the sidewalk and bleeding from multiple stab wounds.

First responders administered aid to the man and transported him to an area hospital. His condition is listed as critical.

Investigators determined that a suspect stole the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.

The suspect and the vehicle were found later that night and the suspect was arrested without incident.

The suspect could face possible charges of carjacking and attempted murder.

Names of the suspect and victim are currently being withheld as part of the investigation.
