Carport Catches Fire in Guadalupe
A carport fire is under investigation in Guadalupe Monday.
The fire broke out around 5 p.m. at 4520 9 th Street in the city of Guadalupe.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department said a car inside a carport was fully engulfed in flames. The kitchen area in the nearby house caught on fire as well as the outside eaves and the carport of the neighbor’s house.
The neighbor’s car suffered damage from the incident. Santa Maria Fire and Guadalupe Fire crews helped extinguish the fire in about a half hour.
No injuries were reported.
A fire investigator is on scene to help determine the cause.
