Pro Golf Returning To Ventura County in October

Professional golfers will once again be walking the fairways at Sherwood County Club in Thousand Oaks this October.

The PGA Tour Champions, those guys 50 years and older, are kicking off the first year of playoff golf on their tour with the PowerShare QQQ Championship at Sherwood October 28-30. The event will feature legends off the game as more than 70 players will be part of the field.

Sherwood C.C. and Ventura County has been without a professional golf tournament since 2013, when Tiger Woods moved his event to Florida. Since then the club, PGA Tour and title sponsors have been working to get something back in this community.

And it really is all about community. The PowerShare QQQ Championship will benefit the Sherwood Foundation, which will then distribute funds to several Ventura County charities.

Tickets cost just $29 and anyone under 18 will get in free with the purchase of a ticket. Military members, their families and dependents are welcomed free of charge.

Tickets for the tournament are on sale here: PowerShare QQQ Championship
