Oxnard Man Found Unconscious After Colliding Minivan With Tree
Oxnard Police Department released the following information:
On Monday at 9:12 a.m. officers from the Oxnard Police Department and Emergency Medical Services personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Wooley Road and Novato Drive in reference to an injury collision involving a vehicle into a tree.
When they arrived, firefighters and rescue personnel used the Jaws of Life to extricate an unconscious male driver from the vehicle, a blue Ford Windstar.
The driver of the Ford Windstar, 44-year-old Eric Montel Hall, sustained serious injuries and was transported from the scene to the Ventura County Medical Center where he is still listed in critical condition.
Mr. Hall was the only occupant in the Ford Windstar. Preliminary investigation and information obtained from witnesses indicates that the Ford was traveling westbound on Wooley Road approaching Novato Drive.
For an unknown reason, it veered to its right and collided into the north curb of Wooley Road at Novato Drive.
The Ford continued westbound and collided into two air vents, a small tree and a wall before colliding into a large tree. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the crash.
The collision is under investigation by Oxnard Police.
