Most Power Restored From Orcutt Lines Brought Down

Most power has been restored after an outage darkened portions of Santa Maria and Orcutt Monday afternoon.

Lines were brought down in an Orcutt neighborhood, as a semi truck passed under with construction equipment on a flat bed trailer. The equipment was high enough to snag the lines and bring some of them down.

PG&E has restored power to all but 15 customers in an area from Blosser Road and Clark in Orcutt to the area near Black and Mahoney Roads west of Santa Maria.

The utility expected full service to be restored by Tuesday morning for the remaining affected customers.
