Los Angeles Man Sentenced to 75 Years in Prison For Child Molestation in Ventura County

On Monday, 62-year-old Luis Manuel Gonzalez from Los Angeles, was sentenced to 75 years to life in prison for child molestation stemming from various incidents in Ventura County.

Investigators say Gonzalez sexually assaulted a 7-year-old victim while visiting family in Camarillo in November 2013. The family members were home at the time of the incident.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Major Crimes and Sexual Assault Unit investigated the crime and discovered two more victims. On March 2014, Gonzalez was arrested at his home and booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

Two additional victims were located while Gonzales was in police custody. Those victims no longer lived in Ventura County. All five victims were minors when they were assaulted by Gonzalez.

Gonzalez pled guilty to child molestation charges on June 16, 2016, and on Monday, he was sentenced to three consecutive 25 years to life terms.
