Santa Barbara Foresters Win Sixth National Championship

They may be homeless but they are National Champions!

The Santa Barbara Foresters captured a record-tying sixth National Championship at the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, Kansas by beating Hays, Lark 6-2.

Santa Barbara led 4-0 after two innings and never let Hays into the game.

The Foresters starting pitcher Jacob Patterson threw seven shutout innings and was named MVP of the game.

All six of the Foresters titles have come in the last 11 years.

It’s a great way to end a trying season for the Foresters who learned this year that they can no longer play at UC Santa Barbara and are searching for a new stadium.
