Fireworks Light Up Ventura County Fair
The Ventura County Fair puts on a free fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. before the fair closes every night at 11 p.m..
Some people surf or walk along the beach while the fireworks light up the night sky.
But fairgoers said they have a spectacular view by the Ferris Wheel.
The midway is also full of bright lights, and teenagers lining up for some of the dizzying rides.
There are also games with popular new prizes such as stuffed Dory.
The “Country Fair with the Ocean Air” is celebrating its 141st year at Seaside Park, also known as the Ventura County Fairgrounds, off California Street.
It fairgoers bring their appetite there’s plenty of fair food to choose from, including cotton candy and fried Uncrustables.
The fair runs through Sunday, Aug. 14, with free concerts including UB40 on Monday night, America on Tuesday afternoon and Joan Jett on Thursday night, just to name a few.
