Bulls Punish Cowboys in PBR Stop in Santa Barbara

On a night when even 8 second rides came with a cost, Cooper Davis and Chase Outlaw shared the victory at the PBR Touring Pro event in Santa Barbara.

Cooper, ranked 8th in the world, and Outlaw (#32 in rankings) each ended the night with the top combined score of 170.5.

For other riders, the Santa Barbara stop was no paradise.

Andy Valdes from Mexico suffered a dislocated shoulder despite a nice qualifying ride of eight seconds in the first round.

For the first time in Santa Barbara, the PBR included mutton bustin’ before the bulls came out. 5-year old Cash Lee beat out about a dozen other kids for top prize.

The bull riding event is part of Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days Fiesta. The rodeo continues throughout the weekend.
