Big Rig Fire Contained After Spreading To Trees In Santa Ynez

The California Highway Patrol says a fire that spread from a big rig along Highway 246 has been contained.

The fire starting in the engine compartment of the big rig and spread to nearby trees near the entrance to the Chumash Casino in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Santa Barbara County Fire crews responded to the incident.At one point, lanes of the 246 were blocked by fire personnel.
